You will join our Marine Division
As our new Principal Engineer you will be part of a significant team operating nationally and internationally in the world of port and marine civil engineering. Projects range from dealing with intricate marine structures such as Seaside Piers up to designing world class international port facilities.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Contribute to the overall design and delivery of Marine structures
Perform complex analysis using computer modelling: making, reading, and interpreting technical material
Learn our bespoke 3D digital tools/approaches and be encouraged to develop them to leverage these opportunities
Undertake project research including surveys and inspections
Identify potential health & safety, design, sustainability and commercial risks on our projects and contribute towards mitigating them
Provide guidance, instruct, motivate, and manage others in the preparation of project deliverables
Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and more efficient ways of working
Promote the Ramboll brand and undertake business development for the Marine team
Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety, quality, and training

Experience in the design/assessment of Civil and Structural projects
Ability to organise and conduct several activities simultaneously
Knowledge of relevant occupational hazards and safety precautions
Ability to communicate clearly material of a specialist or highly technical nature
Experience of project management
Sound knowledge of structural steelwork design/detailing
Good degree in Civil engineering (or equivalent) ideally with Civil Engineering MEng
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: Will have a proven record as a competent Engineer on a number of projects, with an ability to communicate clearly with managers and stakeholders, and to be able to work independently as well as in a team with flexibility and adaptability, good attitude and proactivity, creativity, engaging communication skills, willingness and ability to learn, curiosity, enthusiasm, reliability, and team spirit.
